HTC Touch HD won't be released in U.S.
The Touch HD, HTC's latest smartphone offering that has been dubbed the "first iPhone killer" in its initial European review, will not be released in the U.S. The company stated via its Twitter feed that by the time the HD was reworked to use the U.S. GSM frequencies, it would be "old news." The Touch HD is garnering a sizeable buzz due to the combination of a high-res 800 x 480 pixel screen (compared to the iPhone's 480 x 320 screen) with HTC's custom TouchFLO 3D interface. The HD can still be unofficially imported into the U.S., but it will not be able to access high-speed Internet.
