4th Annual Pocket PC magazine Best Software Awards 2004

Pocket PC magazine's Best Software Awards 2004 celebrate and honor the efforts of independent developers, whose software products help make your Windows Mobile device more functional and fun! In addition to honoring developers, the Best Software Awards help you select the software that suits your needs.

The awards are divided into three sections: consumer software for Pocket PCs, consumer software for Smartphones, and software for developers. Windows Mobile experts from around the world voted on nearly 600 products in 100 categories. The products with the highest vote totals were selected as winners, and runners up, were named finalists.

Pocket PC and Smartphone Consumer Software

Pocket PC magazine's New Products Editor, Diane Dumas, and our Board of Expert judges selected the 2004 award nominees. Approximately 20% of the software in the Encyclopedia of Software and Accessories was nominated. These nominations were frozen on July 31, 2004, and only products and versions released by that date were eligible for this year's awards.

Developer Software

Chris Forsberg (http://www.businessanyplace.net) and Bob Katayama (http://www.han-d-solutions.com) headed a team of experts to determine nominations for Developer Software.
