Tip: Stop the soft keyboard from popping up
Touch screen devices have a built-in soft keyboard that will pop up automatically every time there is an opportunity to enter text. This is a convenient feature on devices that do not have hardware keyboards, but it can quickly become annoying if you have a built-in QWERTY keyboard and prefer to use it for text entry.
If you want the soft keyboard to stop popping up, go to an application or screen that accepts text. When the soft keyboard pops up, ignore it and use your device’s hardware keyboard to enter text. Once you start typing, the soft keyboard will automatically disappear and will remain hidden upon subsequent text entry opportunities until you tap the soft keyboard icon.
The important point here is to start typing with the hardware keyboard to make the soft keyboard disappear. Do not tap on the soft keyboard icon at the bottom of the screen to minimize it. This will hide the soft keyboard, but it will pop up again automatically once a new text entry opportunity arises.

From Our Blogs: SplashShopper Review
By Nate Adcock
This is the kind of review I hate to do, because I essentially have to be the bad guy. There are some old-school applications that are so useful and intuitive that they stand the test of time, even if they don't look pretty. I have to say, SplashShopper from SplashData could become one of those applications, but currently isn't.

XDA-Developers seems to come up with some really useful applications. Their offerings now include Ticker Tape, a free app that lets you track your stock portfolio and even lets you do a bit of analysis, as well as compare a particular stock against the major indices. You’ll need .NET CF 3.5 in order to run this app. The XDA-Developers page includes a link. Also, Tilt Mobility has excellent info about .NET CF 3.5 and how to install it.

From Our Blogs: Twitter away your time for fun and profit
By Tim Hillebrand
When I first heard of Twitter, I was amazed and amused that it was spreading like wildfire in a frenzy of popularity. It’s all based on a message limited to 140 characters that tells people what you are doing at the moment. My first reaction was, who cares? But apparently people do, and folks are not bashful about sharing what they are up to with others. So, why not use this proclivity to visit for word of mouth advertising or for spreading the word for a worthy cause? Your posted messages, by the way, are known as Tweets. Isn't that tweriffic?”
