Tech News Round-Up: New iPaq Review, SPB Time, eWallet and more!

I apologize but am so inundated with a backlog of tech news (and with other blogging problems), I'm going to have to do a Karpen-esque style summary, as it were. Firstly, you can see I recently got a new toy to play with (unboxing coming soon). Hp's latest iPAQ! Will be posting a full review. Lotsa software updates and sales news though, so read on for the gory details about SPB Time 3.0eWallet 7.0, and a new version of Elecont Weather! ..and uh Jim that was a compliment...

"November 24th, 2009 - SPB Software, a leading maker of mobile applications, announces the release of SPB Time 3.0, a major update to the best-selling Windows Mobile time toolset. The updated version offers a completely new, reconsidered user interface and significantly improved alarm features. SPB Time 3.0 provides user with three different types of alarms to fit any needs. Paranoid alarm is designed to wake up deep sleepers while Bio alarm does its job in a very gentle way. Classic alarm is a good solution for those who don't believe in biorhythms and do not want to be disturbed too much in the morning time."

"We've poised eWallet for the future with some great new updates. The centerpiece of this is the new eWallet desktop software. Rewritten from the ground up, this new version of eWallet for Windows PC makes eWallet even easier to use and it looks great. More importantly, the new version provides a framework for future innovation that will let us make eWallet an even better product. Finally, we're expanding the platforms we support. As a demonstration of this, we're making a preview version of eWallet for Mac OS X available to all owners of eWallet. This advance preview lets users try eWallet out and get a taste of what we have in store for them down the road."

"Most notable in the new "Elecont Weather" is an "Ice Alert". Driving a car on snowy and icy roads or even walking may be dangerous in the winter time. With "Elecont Weather" you may be secured against this weather. The program displays the alert if current weather conditions are dangerous. We're updating current conditions twice on a hour, so it is very close to real time. In addition to this, "Elecont Weather" displays the alerts for the further 10 days - it may be useful if you're planning outdoor activity."
