Layoffs in Tech

There was a story on CNET News about layoffs at Bluetooth headset maker Aliph today that caught my attention. I was surprised although I probably should not have been considering the current state of the economy.  Supposedly there was somewhere in the vicinity of 30% of the staff let go .... tough time of year to lose your job.  Aliph, maker of the popular Jawbone Bluetooth headset, indicated that they are realigning their resources to increase focus on their core technology and products.

I hope they survive this bumpy road ... they make a great product.
