Are Windows Mobile Games Actually Getting More Exciting to Play?

Within the last year or so, we have started to see some really graphically rich games and some with even intriguing gameplay to boot.
Here are some games that look good:
Super Putt Xtreme ** Syberia II
Li-Nuggz ** Robo
With that being said, has the actual gameplay kept up with the graphics improvements?
I would like to hear your thoughts on this.
Are Windows Mobile games in general actually getting better as far as overall "Fun Factor" or has the current crop of titles focused too heavily on the "Eye Candy" only?
Tell us which recent games you like that have the great "Eye Candy" and great "Gameplay" combined in one title.

There are several games that are both eye candy AND have great gameplay. K-Rally, Orions, particularly with its expansion pack, SkyForce Reloaded, Enslave - just to name a few.
I would tend to agree with Werner. Of course, I'm not going to give away all my comments, because you should be reading my reviews :)
In regards to your original list, I can't comment on Super Putt Extreme because I haven't played it yet. Syberia II was quite an adventure (almost a pun), but suffered a bit from the interface. Overall I would still classify it as a fun game, though. Li-Nuggz is an interesting game. First of all, I would not classify it as "eye candy". The graphics were decent, but not great. The game itself had it's moments. I'm also not really sure Li-Nuggz applies to this post anyway, since the game came out in 2005! I won't say much on Robo, because I'm still working on that review, but I will let slip that I think it's the best game I've played from Hero Craft to date.
To add to this, I would highly recommend most recent games from either Astraware or PDAMill. There's two publishers / developers that have the combination of visuals and gameplay pretty much down to an art.
Max Lee, speaking of Java games, do you follow my MIDlet-related articles? I've just posted a HUGE update of the 3D article, for example.
Also, I plan to, finally, publish the MIDlet Bible this weekend.
Sorry, because I realize this question is mostly off topic, but what kind of non-phone devices exist that support JAVA games?
From my point of view, this question is valid and not off topic. I made the mistake of stating "Windows Mobile games". Windows Mobile from Microsofts point of view can refer to PocketPCs, Pocket PC Phone Edition and MS Smartphones.
Here is a list for J2ME JAVA support on non phone Windows Mobile Devices.

Also, a good blog on Pocket PC JAVA.
