Samsung Marketshare at 10%: Not So Fast, Sammy
Samsung Electronics Co. announced its plans to more than double its sales of Smartphones by the fourth quarter of this year in an attempt to secure the number four position for worldwide sales which is currently held by Taiwanese manufacturer HTC.
Samsung is currently the world's second largest manufacturer of cell phones and holds the fifth position for Smartphones at just below 5% of world sales. Samsung is preparing to release its much anticipated Galaxy S Smartphone which runs the Android OS.

New Microsoft Mobile O.S. for Enterprise
Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer said by video that Microsoft will release a new mobile OS for embedded and enterprise devices based on Windows Mobile 6.5, to be followed by an enterprise-focused version of Windows Phone 7 in 2011. More info can be found at pcmag.

Land Air Sea Warfare now available for Windows Mobile!
I reviewed this title on our iPhone blogs last month, and if you are a Window's mobile gamer I have good news. It's finally out for Windows Mobile touchscreen devices, though I admit I have not tried the WinMo version. You can grab a demo cab of the game here.

SPB TV 2.0 now available!
SPB TV is a real winner (get it here), and is fast becoming one of my all-time favorite apps on either iPhone or Windows Mobile (see my early WM review here). Now at version 2.0, the channel list has really grown, and I love watching old forgotten SF movies on one of the many free classic channels available.

Is the Microsoft Kin 2 Worth Kinsideration?
The Kin 2 is a three way collaborative effort involving Microsoft, Sharp, and Verizon. The result is a new approach on the way to Smartphone telephony that for me was disappointment piled on disappointment. It seems strange somehow that while the Windows Mobile operating system is ready for a serious redo, this Microsoft device has nothing to do with WM OS.

Rumored Windows Phone 7 Devices, Microsoft's Vision, More on 4G Phone Speeds
Sprint’s 4G phone came out last week, and reviews are appearing. We’ll look a bit more at this phone even though it’s not Windows Mobile because it harbingers the 4G speeds that will eventually be available to you on Windows Phone 7 devices. Also, this week we’ll look more closely at Kin Studio, since it shows so clearly the direction that Microsoft is headed with its mobile devices. But first we’ll begin with some rumors about forthcoming Windows Phone 7 devices.

Samsung Windows Phone 7 Demo; Reviews and Demos of 4G Phones
The big question is whether Microsoft will ever be able to catch up, given the popularity of the iPhone and the Android onslaught. This week we’ll look at the optimistic projection 30 million Windows Phone 7 devices will be sold in 2011. And I’ll point you to a demo of a forthcoming Samsung device running Windows Phone 7 and other related news. And We’ll also continue our look at the arrival of 4G data speeds for smartphones, including demos of the first phone that can take advantage of the new 4G network.
