Otter Products, LLC. announced that it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with H2O Audio. The agreement enables Otter Products to offer its customers H2O Audio’s patented waterproof headphones via Otter Products online store.
H2O Audio’s waterproof headphones, feature patented design and engineering that combines high-fidelity speakers in a flexible, durable and fully waterproof headset. The H2O Audio headphones are compatible with the entire OtterBox for iPod case line and retail for $39.95.

H2OAudio http://www.h2oaudio.com/ makes some interesting rugged cases too. Curious to know why anyone would buy an Otterbox case and an H2O headphones if you can buy an H2O rugged case and headphones? Are the Otterbox cases better looking or perform better?

Curious to your comment above as you’ve reviewed the OtterBox cases before (See http://www.technobrains.com/index.php for all reviews Technobrains has done on OtterBox). You’ve seen firsthand the ruggedness and versatility of the OtterBox.
As far as the differences in the cases, the biggest is price. The OtterBox and H2O Audio headphone solution saves customers money!!! While cases are comparable in functionality, the H2O nano case retails for $79.95, whereas the OtterBox for iPod nano is only $39.95. The H2O Audio headphones are $39.95 on both sites. So customers can save about $40 going with the OtterBox.
Our distribution agreement was signed mainly to provide our customers a convenience, now they can purchase a full solution rather than having to go elsewhere for headphones.

Price is clearly an issue but for me, quality is most important. I have had great experience with Otter products so when I gave my son a iPod Video for the holidays, getting an OtterBox to protect it was a priority.
Again, I was not the slightest disappointed in this new case and my son is incredibly happy with it....
