Release date of great isometric game !PyroManiA! further delayed; developer plans to come up with other, great ports

Topics:

Many would like to know when the final version of the long-awaited (see review of the trial version here, in the Roundup of All Pocket PC Games Part I) !PyroManiA!.

The developer has announced some weeks ago the game would be released some time in July and that he’s been working on some polishing & reworking on the game, transferring some 2D tilesets into 3D with Hexagon 2 so that it looks (even) better.

He (Ben), however, has also described his plans (dreams) for future (see his posts in this thread), which, knowing the very good quality of !PyroManiA!, I’m really looking forward.

Ben would like to port a WWII RTS and a turn-based tactical game (see UFO (and its Pocket PC port) as an example – see this thread for links and documentation), preferably with cross-platform multiplayer support (that is, you’ll be able to play against people playing on a desktop computer and, of course, on other PDA's). He has also mentioned the new titles would support high-resolution VGA screens.

That’s great news! Way to go Ben :)
