Dial-up networking model of the WM5 AKU3 explained by Microsoft

Anyone having read the article The new dial-up networking model of the WM5 AKU3 – a must if you use your WM phones as modems knows AKU3 (and, of course, WM6) has dramatically changed the way dial-up networking is handled.

The Microsoft WM folks have just published an article on the PAN vs DUN issue, the central issue of the new networking model. It's HIGHLY recommended. Also, you may want to check out PPCT and Just Another Mobile Monday.

(BTW, I won’t really publish anything in the next few days – I’m really busy with

  1. the recategorization of the PPCMag Awards 2007
  2. with Python and Febrl (it requires a lot of ‘hacking’ in order to make it compatible with my custom purposes)
  3. losing weight (I ride, pulse-controlled, 3 hours a day in our body building center to quickly lose weight (including going to the sauna after all these occasions so that my skin can keep up with the loss of weight). I plan to lose about 10 kg’s in the next two-three weeks so that I can again reach the weight of 75 kg’s.)

Please also note that I don’t really have time for private messages either (this particularly applies to the XDA-Developers and the HowardForums forums, where I get at lest 4-5 messages / help requests a day). I try to answer them all but, right now, I just don’t have the time. Really sorry for that.

Finally, I plan to publish the brand new all-in-one Windows Mobile Multimedia Bible either later next week (if everything is OK and I manage to finally finish “hacking” Febrl) or the one after that. I promise it'll rock and explains everything related to both audio & video, including streaming, podcasts and everything you can think of.
