Dotfred releases version 1.5 of PIM Backup - now, with SMS / MMS backup/restore capabilities!

I've already mentioned Dotfred's Task Manager, a high-quality, free (!) all-in-one task manager tool for Windows Mobile here. The author of Task Manager has just upgraded his well-known, also free tool PIM Backup to version 1.5; one of the best, new features it sports is support for backing up / restoring SMS messages, in addition to the already-existing Backing up / restoring, exporting/importing SMS messages has always been pretty problematic on the Pocket PC and few applications are capable of doing so (see this article for more info on the already-existing titles). Therefore, the added SMS backup/restore capability of PIM Backup is certainly welcome. The utility is available here and is highly recommended. (Note that you'll need to register yourself in the XDA-Developers forums to be able to access the downloads. It's free and you can also become part of the world's currently most active Windows Mobile forum - that is, it's definitely worth registering.) I've found these two Dotfred utilities so good that I'm pretty sure I will nominate them for the PPCMag Best Software Awards 2007. I'm pretty much sure you'll love them too - they, while they're free, easily beat a LOT of commercial titles, feature-wise! Don't hesitate to check them out!
