PRESS RELEASE:
March 22, 2006 - Spb Software House releases the updated version of Spb AirIslands - a new Pocket PC game based on a unique concept. Spb AirIslands is currently both the best selling Pocket PC strategy game and the best selling game pack for Pocket PC (according to Handango.com data).
With Spb AirIslands 1.1 we introduce support for qVGA square screened devices. This means that the users of Palm Treo700w, HP 6515 and other Windows Mobile 5 based devices with 240x240 screens now can enjoy this excellent game. Unlike most other Pocket PC games, with Spb AirIslands 1.1 we have not just resized the graphics to 240x240 at runtime. We have actually specially designed a square screen support version, including levels adaptation for better playing on square devices.
Also Spb AirIslands 1.1 has some other improvements that increase graphic FPS (frames per seconds) up to 30% over the 1.0 version. The new engine allows Spb AirIslands 1.1 to be enjoyed on most of Pocket PC 2002 devices.
