Spb Pocket Plus 4.0 Released!...upgrade update!
Update!...Finally went and upgraded my copy and this post, since a user complained that smart-scrolling didn't work for him, yet it worked like a charm on me iPAQ (and is like the coolest thing I ever saw in my whole life)! That's a bit much, I know, but had to post an image of how sweet the new look is below... Oh, and note to other vendors--Check out how easy Spb applications are to upgrade (even installed on a storage card, when the app warns against it)! Spb is simply the best, IMHO...and their backup app actually works!

St. Petersburg, Russia — October 16th, 2007 — Spb Software House, the world’s leading Windows Mobile software maker, releases a new version of its legendary Spb Pocket Plus application. Spb Pocket Plus 4.0 works as a seamless extension of Windows Mobile, building on the natural strengths of the Microsoft platform, while dramatically enhancing the functionality.
I'm a little late out of the gate on this--since it was like 2 days ago--but Pocket Plus is one of my favs, so I had to mention it here. Spb rebuilt Pocket Plus, making it better, faster, and stronger than before!! The $6 Million dollar today plug-with a bargain price, as it were! Go check out their site...some of the best animated product demos for a PPC app I've seen anywhere.
Highlights:
1. Reduced on-device program size
2. Reduced memory consumption
3. Faster than Spb Pocket Plus 3.2
4. Smart scrolling
5. Tabs in Internet Explorer
6. Shortcut labels on Today Screen
7. Multiple third-party Today plug-ins, placed into Spb Pocket Plus tabs on Today
8. Fast-search in Internet Explorer
9. New file Save/Open dialog
10. Additional actions assigned to hardware button long-pressing
Course, if you're cool like me and have the previous version, you get it for half-price, but noobs can grab it from the Spb site for around 30 smackers (US). Okay, not that much of a bargain, but Magazine VIPs get 15% off, so sign up for VIP status at our site, and then go grab yours...You won't be sorry. For me, it does - it's just that it scrolls too much (tested on the VGA HTC Universal).
