Great Playstation emulator FpseCE 0.10, finally, released! + video

We emulator freaks have been waiting for version FpseCE 0.10 for at least two and a half years. Back in May-June 2007 when I published my (almost) all-in-one article series on emulating other computing platforms (see THIS) on Windows Mobile, everyone was already waiting for FpseCE 0.10. This is why, back in 2007, I chose not to publish a PS Emulation Bible back in 2007, by the way – I didn’t want to end up having to (completely) rewrite it after the imminent release of the brand new version.

Numpty Physics released for Windows Mobile!

Touch Physics has become an instant success on the iPhone. I’ve also purchased it for my phone and spent a lot of time with it.

A Windows Mobile game based on the same ideas has just been released. It requires you to draw objects that, after falling down, trush a ball towards its destination. It’s a free title (as opposed to the iPhone one, which costs $3).

eSoft Interactive (product list HERE) have released quite a few titles in the past, some of them (for example, Open TTD, Traffic Jam, Traffic Jam Extreme and Traffic Jam 2) being pretty famous. REVIEW: Need for Speed: Undercover released for Windows Mobile

The iPhone folks have eagerly been waiting for this title for at least half a year – and it’s still isn’t know when it comes out (see THIS for some additional info & comments). Despite the superior profitability of the iPhone platform when it comes to gaming, EA Mobile, the developer of the Need for Speed franchise, deemed it better to release the Windows Mobile and the Blackberry versions first.

MWC: At last a (somewhat) gaming-friendly Windows Mobile phone!

I’ve long been mourning on the lack of a Windows Mobile phone with a decent D-pad for gaming and running emulators. Windows Mobile devices with a, for gaming, usable directional pad are far and between. (Actually, the last Windows Mobile device to have a decent gaming controller was the Asus A620 five and half a year ago…)

The first REAL video ever published: MWC: Gameloft’s 3D accelerated Prince of Persia running on the 1GHz Toshiba TG01!

Topics:

Yesterday I posted a quick video of Gameloft’s Prince of Persia, which is a 3D accelerated title making use of the 3D hardware acceleration of the forthcoming and really-really fast (1GHz Snapdragon) Toshiba TG01. Today, I made two additional videos – now with a tripod and at the resolution of 1024*768, meaning far better video quality and stabilized picture.
