PoQuick Giveaway; Jenneth's Site
This week we have another freebie, PoQuick Money
Enterprise. For a limited time, Mastersoft
Mobile Solutions is making PoQuick 2.6 available as a
free download from Handango. This is a personal finance
manager that was a finalist in our annual Pocket PC magazine
software awards last fall.
To get your free software, go to the Mastersoft
site to get the code. Without the code, version 2.6 is
currently available on Handango for $1, as are a number of
other Mastersoft titles. (The currently shipping version is
PoQuick 3.0.)
You can check out an in-depth
review of PoQuick with lots of screenshots on Jenneth
Orantia's web site.
If you're in need of a personal finance tool, this free
offering may be worth a look because this ambitious company
is planning to start offering a desktop version in March.
They bill Desktop PoQuick as a "fully featured, fully
synchronizing Money and Quicken replacement."
If you have both the desktop and Pocket PC versions,
you'll be able to add, edit, and manipulate financial data
on either the desktop or mobile version. Last week they
posted the first screenshots of PoQuick Desktop on their web
site.
By the way, whether or not you're interested in the
PoQuick review, you may still want to check out Jenneth's
site. She admits to being obsessed with Pocket PCs and
has a few other reviews too, as well as occasional
giveaways.
A unique feature of her site is the Pocket
PC Profiles section, in which Pocket PC users write
profiles about themselves. They typically tell a bit about
themselves, how they got interested in the device, and how
they use it, both personally and professionally. Makes some
interesting reading.
