Cord Cruncher: a must have

Topics:

Cord Cruncher is just over 18" in length. On one end, you have the standard 3.5 mm audio jack. On the other end are two comfy, padded ear plugs. In the middle is a length of rubber tubing. Mine is blue, but it comes in a choice of three patriotic colors: red, white, and blue.

To extend the wires to their full length, just grab on the ear plugs and gently pull them out of the tubing for your listening pleasure.

When you are done listening and want to store the wires for future use without tangling, you just hold both ends of the tubing and pull until the wires are totally encased.

Helo TC Review

I have rarely had so much fun and so much frustration at the same time. Flying the Helo TC is not the easiest task in the world. It takes a little skill and a learning curve. The controls are delicate and you need some space to maneuver until you get your skills down pat.

Helo TC is a twin rotor remote control helicopter that is superbly engineered. It lights up like Ferris wheel and is sturdy as a house despite its seemingly delicate appearance.

Singing the Praises of RoboForm

If ever there were a piece of software that I could never do without it's RoboForm. I've been using RoboForm now for at least five years, and I cannot even imagine life without it. RoboForm is a secure login data manager. It will save you untold hours of time each month and make your online experience a pleasure with one click logons.

Not only does it automatically log you on to your accounts, it will also complete forms for you with whatever information you ask it to store such as contact information, social security, bank account information and whatever else you make available to it.

Rapoo Bluetooth Keyboard

It's not foldable, but it will fit in your pocket. This ultrathin, stainless steel, sleek Bluetooth 3.0 keyboard measures only 82mm x 206mm x 5.8mm or 8 x 2 3/4 x 3/16 inches. It comes in your choice of black or white keys. Unfortunately, it only supports IOS devices.

After a two hour charge, it will perform for up to a month, and the keyboard works up to 30 feet away from the device to which it's linked.

This keyboard features iPad hotkeys for convenience. But it does not come with a manual, so you have to figure it out on your own.

MagicWand

I miss the stylus from the old Windows Mobile days. These new touch screens can be difficult for accurate typing, drawing, and pointing. A stylus is much more precise. When the iPhone first came out, I used to call its users nose miners. Ah, the good old days of yore.

Anyway, I back in business. I just acquired a magnificent MagicWand by MediaDevel that would make Harry Potter envious.

Archos 32 Internet Tablet

Topics:

I must say that I was surprised when I received this "tablet" for review. Somehow I was expecting a 7 to 10 inch screen, but instead, this unit is about the size of an iPod touch. In fact, that's the best way to describe it. It's an Android iPod touch. It's a bit thicker than an iPod with a smaller touch screen at 3.2 inches with a 400 x 240 resolution and 18 bit color depth.

Stocking Stuffer: Opena

Topics:

How about a beer with your iPhone? Now here is a gift for the guy who has everything. The Opena is basically a protective skin for the iPhone 4 with a bottle cap opener that slides out. That's about all there is to it. All you have to do it click your iPhone into it, and you are in business. When you need to open a bottle, there is a metal slider in the back of the unit with a hole in it. Put your finger in the hole and slide upward. Out pops the opener.

Stocking Stuffers: Tankbots

Topics:

They come in a colorful array of orange, green, blue, and black. They are more fun than a barrel of monkeys, and they are aptly named Tankbots. They sort of look like little Smart Cars on tractor treads.
