UnZIP the contents of THIS file to \Windows on your PDA.

You haven't imported the registry import file - therefore, there're no file associations set.

Should you want to avoid importing into the Registry, you can also locally search for the JAR files - put them in, say, the root of your handset and search for local files from inside Jbed.exe.

Anz, since you have WinCE 5.0 (did you mean Windows Mobile 5.0?), you may want to prefer Jbed instead.

2, the registry file is for the MIDP version, not for the PE one

BTW, XDA-Dev forum member "FOSA" has dposted a nice tutorial on getting the right installer from IBM here.

Nope, PE doesn't support midlets and vica versa.
