 <description>&lt;p&gt;Yup, it can be painful some time because of some/all of the stuff you&#039;ve mentioned.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;On the PDA part, it&#039;s mostly &lt;a href=&quot;/blogs/index.php?blog=3&amp;amp;p=882&amp;amp;more=1&amp;amp;c=1&amp;amp;tb=1&amp;amp;pb=1&quot;&gt;the high driver memory requirements of the Widcomm BT stack&lt;/a&gt;  that causes the most problems only solvable with a reset. In this respect, the MS BT stack (on the PDA) is clearly superior.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;On the notebook part, the problem, in my practive, usually go away with the latest drivers. If it doesn&#039;t and the BT connections just keep stalling for no apparent reason (which is the case with, say, my ThinkPad a31p and the original, 1.4.* IBM / Widcomm drivers), try decreasing the BT connection speed to, say, even 1200 bps if you use DUN. (Don&#039;t be afraid - it won&#039;t have any influence on the actual communication speed between the two devices.) Most of the time it helps to fight stalling connections.&lt;/p&gt;
