No multiplayer as yet (it was there in the beta I've tested but has been removed from 1.0 due to lack of time to fine-tune it to make it as reliable as the single player game). The iDreams folks say they may release a FREE multiplayer upgrade (new version) in the near future.

Yup, it's definitely a mistake on ClickGamer's part (PDA resellers often mess up VGA-related remarks, which may lead to confusion. I've seen at least ten of such ambiguous cases with them). I'll make the iDreams folks know about the mistake so that they can ask ClickGamer to modify the spec.

BTW, if you haven't read my compaction-related articles, do a generic search for 'compaction' here in the blog - they're a must for all x50v users using the WM5 upgrade.

That's what causing the problem - thorugh compaction. Please also see my compaction & hx4700-related articles: all these explanations also apply to the WM5-upgraded x50v.

The solution is:

1. reinstall the game to a storage card; it'll minimize writing operations to the flash ROM and will, therefore, increase the delay between two subsequent compactions

2. when compaction does kick in, just wait for it to end; for example, exit the game or put it to hold.

Yup, that's what I thought. Did you install the game on a storage card, or in the main memory? Do the former as it constantly writes to its home directory, which, after a while, will trigger compaction.

Strange. I have a VGA x51v and haven't run into any problems - the game is superfast on it.

1. Do you have the WM5 upgrade on your x50v? Or, the original WM2003SE? If you have WM5, it may be the explanation for the CPU usage (the compaction kicks in, taking almost all CPU cycles). In these cases, not even lowering the detail level helps.

2. Ask for a refund - I don't think the iDreams people will deny your request.

BTW, I haven't had any speed problems with the game on any of my VGA devices (HTC Universal, Dell Axim x51v, PL720, iPAQ hx4700) - it's equaly fast than on my QVGA ones. That is, the problem must be specific to your x50v. I'll, however, ask the iDreams folks whether they are reported the same by other x50v users.
