Vendor Responses below:

Light Cone Corp:
Ratoc charges $139.95 for a similar CF USB Host card solution.
http://www.ratocsystems.com/english/products/CFU2U.html

The SolarExpress PDA II card at $84.95 is a very good alternative.

Teksoftco:
A few useful ideas:
1-) USBInput will work only with devices that have a USB Host port.
Because most of the MiniUSB connectors on modern PDAs are only USB Client capable (used to connect the device to an USB Host, eg. the Desktop PC via ActiveSync), those won't work.
From a marketing point of view, this error doesn't bother me, but you might want to mention this aspect as well, for clarity.
2-) A list of Compact Flash capable devices:
From HP:
iPAQ H2210 series PocketPC 2003
H5xxx series PocketPC 2003

hx4700 PocketPC 2003
hx2410 PocketPC 2003 SE
hx2495 Windows Mobile 5.0
hx2790 Windows Mobile 5.0
210, 211, 212 Enterprise
Windows Mobile 6

From DELL:

Axim
PocketPC 2003
Axim
x50 PocketPC 2003 SE
Windows Mobile 5.0
x51v Windows Mobile 5.0

These can be used with the SolarExpress CF2USB card, with the Ratoc CFU2 and others. Actually we've developed this product in a partnership with LighConeCorp (SolarExpress manufacturer) so looks like they got your previous advise of providing Mouse functionality as well ;)

3-) A few USB Host capable devices (without the need of an adapter): include HTC Athena, Arima/I-mate Ultimate series, Fujitsu NLOOX, and probably others.
More info will be posted on the website when available.
