There are all sorts of 790's available on Ebay at very reasonable prices.

Search Ebay using Mobilepro 790 or Mobile Pro 790 and you'll know what I mean.

BTW - Hope you don't mind me correcting your Post from WT MP 790 to WTB MP 790. [;)]

Yes, I've been eyeballing the units offered there. I will buy there if nothing shows up here, but seems like odds of getting a honestly described unit would be higher in this forum, so thought I'd try here first.

I have no experience with any of the 790 sellers on Epay...does anyone else?

I got mine on eBay and it works great as described. One thing though ... the unit that was first shipped to me was in such bad condition, I called the seller up the next day and ask for a refund. He apologised and offered that there must have been a mixed up in their warehouse (ya right!) but later sent me email pictures of their actual units before I agree to have a replacement shipped to me. In the end, they allowed me to return the bad unit on their cost and have the replacement units shipped on their cost as well!

So its either that the slip up was a genuine mistake or I was real good at pressurizing them to submission!! [:D] You should try to contact the seller and get them to give you actual photos of the units you are getting. MP790 has serial numbers on the bottom, so try to get one pic with that so that you can be more assured of what you are getting. I did that and some sellers never dared or bother to reply, so for these sellers, I just skip them. Granted, they can always give u a crappy unit later, so it depends a lot on trust really.

And if all fails, there is always SquareTrade and NEGATIVE feedback!! :P
