I have an axium 30 that we need to use to do some demonstrations with . Is there a way to display the screen on an overhead lcd projector ??

Actually I would disagree a little with a comment above in regard to which of the two solutions is the best. I think each solution has its advantages, but a very unique advantage of Pocket Controller is that it can display your device in a skin. This means that if you are doing a demo or presentation you will be able to project not just the device screen, but the the whole device.

Your viewers will be able to see the entire device including the body, you can further click on the buttons on the skin with your mouse and it will behave as if you are clicking on the real device. This is very useful if you are training people to use some mobile software or even to demonstrate a particular device since the user can see it all. Pocket Controller also has a built in tool called Skin Manager that allows you to automatically download skins, from an extensive library. It also allows you to put your own background behind the skin so that the projection can include you company logo or the points in your presentation.

The product also allows you to do a lot of other stuff like different zoom levels, rotation, overlay drawing etc.

SOTI has also just released Pocket Controller-Professional v5.0. More information as well as a trial version is available at:

Thanks , looks like what I need.

Yes.

The best way is getting either a CF VGA card or the Mobility Electronics Pitch Duo Presentation Device. The latter really rocks, albeit a bit pricey! Seehttp://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=115844 on the latter.

As far as the CF VGA cards are concerned, there're quite a few of them: the Margi Presenter-to-Go, the Colorgraphics Voyager CF and the Pretec VGA CF card.

They're OK for simple, static PP presentations but definitely not for hi-quality, hi-resolution movie viewing. For real miroring of what happens on the PDA screen, your only choice is getting a Dell Axim x50v.

Your other choice, if you also have a notebook/desktop PC, is using a desktop-based program to show the PDA screen on the desktop (and on the projector connected to the desktop). You can use either Pocket Controller or the (free) ActiveSync Remote Display, part of Microsoft's PowerToys (http://download.microsoft.com/download/7/6/0/7606be4b-eea7-4515-83a0-81d7d9ac9ce1/WindowsMobilePowerToys.msi ).
