iPAQ hx4705 Main Memory

Hi,
I'm a newbie to PPC. I'm trying to install Agenda Fusion 7.1 to my iPAQ hx4705, but the installer indicated that I don't have enough main memory. I have only installed eWallet Pro, ListPro, & Avantgo. Is there anyway to make more memory available? If I have to uninstall, what standard app that came with the 4705 can I safely uninstall?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I have an iPAQ hx4705 and had no problem installing Agenda Fusion on it. Whe you installed the progtram where did you tell it to install to? It should allow you to choose Main Memory, IPAQ File Store or Memory Card. Try installing it to the File Store and see if you get the same result. I have over 20 programs installed and never a problem. Many of them I install in the File Store but there are some that I install to an SD card. It really depends on what I am installing. There should be about 85 MB of total storage card memory in the iPAQ File Store for your use. Just watch when the program installs and a dialog box will ask you where you want to install to. Hope this helps.

It seems your main memory is full if not even AF can be installed into it. With 64 Mbyte WM2003SE devices, it's mostly the Pocket Internet Explorer cache and/or Messaging mails/attachments that can cause problems, in addition to apps installed into main memory.

1, in Pocket Internet Explorer, go to Tools/Options/Mmeory and choose Delete Files. Do this frequently because the PIE cache can sometimes exceed 30-40 Mbytes in size.

2, with a suitable file explorer (see for examplehttp://smartphonemag.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=15577 on this), go to \Windows\Messaging and check out the size it and its Attachments subdirectory occupy. If it's too big (over, say, 10 Mbytes), consider deleting your mail in the Messaging app.

If you store your mail atachments in you rmain memory, consider switching to using some kind of storage media. See for examplehttp://www.firstloox.org//forums/showthread.php?t=3483 on this.

3, consider relocating all your apps currently in main memory to your iPAQ File Store / your storage cards. See for examplehttp://www.firstloox.org//forums/showthread.php?t=3705 andhttp://www.firstloox.org//forums/showthread.php?t=3752 on this.
