Wireless 101

I have a hp rx3715, among other PDA's and have an extremely hard time configuring the wifi so I can connect in known areas with access. Even whenI occassionally do manage to connect, I may be able to get on AIM or explorer, but not my mail, which I know is configuered correctly (pop3).
I've been trying to find any support info on a step by step to configure my wireless, but have had no luck.
Help!

The epxlanation for this behavious is very simple: your POP3 account in your Messaging client may be configured to use the Work connection, while your Internet Explorer (and your Wi-Fi connection) uses the The Internet.

Do the following:

1, fire up Messaging
2, go to
3, choose your account
4, click Next 3 times
5, on the E-mail Setup (4/4) screen, choose Options instead of Finish.
6, in the Connection: drop-down menu, choose The Internet instead of Work, if the latter is set there:

Please let me know whether it worked.

I do understand the need to have separate email and Internet connect options but to have the choices hidden are not to my liking. :-(

If you have the Connection Manager setup correctly you can do both/everything, ie. mail, wireless/wired network ActiveSync and PIE/Messenger, without resorting to changing everything around each time you use the connection. See this page for basic help and modify as needed for your version of the OS and Connection Manager. Basically you want everything set to Work...
