Storage Card Problem - Please Help

I bought a 1gb storage card for my iPAQ, and I was transfering over music. I was in the middle of it transfering into the "Storage Card" Folder and it told me that the card was full and couldn't transfer any more files. I looked into the memory file, because I knew I wasn't transfering a gb worth of files over, so it shouldn't be full. It only filled up 454.41mb worth of space, and it says there is 513.84MB left. Eventhough there's 514mb left, it still continues to tell me it's full. Am I doing something wrong? Please help ASAP...If the card is bad, I only have 7 days to return it.

Thanks

Mike

You should never copy more than some dozens of files into the root file system of the card. I've also emphasized this in my article on storage card optimization.

That is, just remove one (!) file from the card, create a subdirectory and just move all the mp3's in there.

Thank you It worked perfect.
