Wireless Connection Works On and Off

I have tried 2 routers (Linksys and Netgear) which I am able to connect and get my desktop directly connected and working and my wireless laptop working. The internet connections works for about 2 minutes, then stops working for about 2 minutes and then starts working again. This is continuous and I have not been able to figure out what to do. Please help. Thanks.

I lose the internet connection on both computers, desktop directly connected and wireless laptop. I'm using a cable modem.

I've run into problems like this several times, especially in homes miles away from the closest switch (meaning bad signalling on line) - that is, just being able to operate. As you have a cable modem, the situation is slightly different; still, it's your cable (TV) company that will check the error. (When I had cable at home, I too had weak signals back in 2001. Then, an amplifier had to be exchanged in the building of block of flats where I lived back then.)

In a word: call your cable operator.

So, is it your Internet connection that behaves so strangely on all of your Internet-connected devices, or, just on your PDA's?
