ACELP codecs

I have been having trouble playing a particular audio stream on my IPAQ (5455 with Windows Mobile 2003). Although this is a Windows Media Audio format stream I have discovered that the problem is that the stream is encoded using ACELP codecs. These are not supported by the Mobile version of WMP 9.0 (although they are supported by the desktop version and I have no problems listening on my desktop). I have tried various other players including Pocket Player and Divx, but none support ACELP. Can anyone suggest a Mobile player for Windows Media Audio streams that also supports ACELP codecs?

Thanks for the advice. This is the solution that I have already arrived at and it works fine at on my home LAN network, but I don't have a server at home so can't access this stream when I am away from home. I have thought about using Shoutcast to broadcast this re-encoded stream. Do you have any more elegant solutions?

At present time I've not been able to find a player that can support the ACELP codec. My best suggestion would be to re-encode the stream with Windows Media Encoder.
