V36 Backup Battery. . .

I have noticed a few posts in regards to the backup battery taking longer to recharge and quicker to drain. Initially I had this concern when I first received my V36. This is what I did to resolve this issue. I find now that when I use the V36, the main battery drains first before the backup but the backup does not wait until the main goes to ZERO before draining. I do not have to keep the V36 recharging for 8+ hours now to have both the main and backup battery reach 100%. Total running times seems far longer now too. My conclusion is that the backup takes longer than the main to recharge specially if it has never reached 100% from day one. One you have recharged the V36 with the backup being 100% and connected overnight on numerous occasions, future recharging takes less time and seems to provide a longer usage life. This was not in anyway scientific but at least it seems to work for me. As for the Li-Ion batteries they cannot be overcharged and seem to like being kept at high charge levels and constantly recharged. Any comments are more than welcome. Hi Bob.
I'm sorry for putting this message in the wrong forum topic. I recently bought a v36. I just want to know how I can view the video clips i recorded using the v36 built in camera on my PC. Can I view it using Media Player. I copied the file from the PPC to my PC and tried to open it using media player. There was an error saying no codec is available. Can you help me? Thanks.

On average my V36 will charge for atleast 6hrs, but I have not noticed a problem, maybe when I go on spring break, ill let it charge all day then.

If you ever notice the backup battery indicating battery low when you are on AC power and then suddenly indicate 100% then do this.
Leave the unit connected to AC for 24 hours straight without turning on. This will ensure that the backup battery is fully charged. You only need to do this once. Subsequent recharging of 4 - 6 hours is all that is necessary.
Good luck

Have you taken a close look at your backup battery?
Is it draining first or is it draining after the main battery drains?
Initially my backup battery was draining first before the main showed any significant level drops. This is why I posted the suggestion.

Mine charged fully in about 3 hours out of the box. I haven't had any problems with the battery having excessive drain or anything...
