How to store your Windows Mobile device

For long-term storage: Back up data, charge and remove the battery, and store in a cool, dry location.

Here's how to do it:

If you plan on storing your Windows Mobile device long-term, follow these steps:

Sync your Windows Mobile device with your desktop PC one last time to make sure any changes you made to Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks are copied to your desktop PC.
Do a complete system backup of your device.
Make sure the battery is approximately half-way charged and then remove it from your device. (This is the best way to store a lithium-ion battery for long periods of time.)
Store the device and battery in a safe, cool place.
