How to set up or change the time and date

Overview: 
Set up the time and date by going to Start >Settings >System tab >Clocks & Alarms (non-touch screen smartphones: Start >Settings >Clock & Alarm or Date and Time).
Here's how to do it: 
To set the time and date on your Windows Mobile device, do the following:
On touch screen devices
  1. Go to Start >Settings >System tab >Clock & Alarms.
  2. With “Home” selected in the Time tab, select a time zone from the drop-down menu, and use the up and down arrows to change the time and date fields. You can also highlight the date and time info and enter it manually using the soft keyboard.
  3. Tap on OK when you’re finished. 
On non-touch screen smartphones
  1. Go to Start >Settings >Clock & Alarm (or Date and Time) and select the option labeled “Date and Time”. You are presented with three options:
  • Time zone: Scroll to this field and use the left and right functions of the 5-way navigation button to select the desired time zone.
  • Date: Scroll to this field and use the left and right functions to highlight the day, month, or year. Then use your number pad to change the information.
  • Time: Scroll to this field and use the left and right functions to highlight the hour, minute, seconds, etc. Then use the number pad to change the information.
Sync date and time with your PC
By default, the date and time on your Windows Mobile device is automatically synchronized with the date and time on your PC whenever you connect the two. You can enable or disable this feature on WM 5 and 6 devices as follows:
  1. Connect your device to your PC and wait until ActiveSync is finished syncing.
  2. Open the ActiveSync window on your PC and go to the Tools >Options screen.
  3. Make sure Windows PC is highlighted; it's the first item in the Options list. Then, click Settings to go to the PC Settings screen.
  4. Check or uncheck the box labeled "Synchronize...date and time upon connecting."
  5. Click OK.
Pre-WM 5: This feature is selected or unselected from ActiveSync's Tools >Options screen by checking or un-checking the box labeled "Synchronize mobile device clock upon connecting" located below the Options list.
