Three ways to make phone calls

Windows Mobile smartphones have a variety of ways that you can make phone calls. Here are the three primary ways:

  • Use Call History: Using Call History to make a call can often be the quickest method, since most of us only have a handful of phone numbers that we regularly call, and these numbers will most likely be at the top of the list. Press the green Talk key to open Call History. (On touch screen devices, select the on-screen Call History button.)
  • Use Contacts: The most obvious way to make a call is by opening Contacts and selecting someone’s number from there, either by scrolling through the list or by typing letters to search by.
  • Start dialing or typing from the Home screen: Another quick way to make calls is by simply typing the name of a contact or dialing a number from the Home screen—this will open a listing of your Contacts and begin matching the letters or numbers you enter so you can quickly select the desired one. (Note that this may not work on some touch screen devices.)
